Communications Officer

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), part of the SATS Group, is a prominent name in the international air cargo industry with more than 50,000 employees worldwide. Our operations at Schiphol, Europe's third busiest airport, are fundamental to the logistics flow and trade through one of Europe's busiest airports. Our services ensure that goods reach their destinations worldwide quickly, safely and efficiently. We handle the receipt, storage and preparation of both import and export freight. This means that we sort, store goods safely and prepare them for further distribution. We unload trucks, build cargo on aircraft plates or in containers and ensure that every package arrives at the right place elsewhere in the world. Really every conceivable kind of cargo comes in, which makes our work fun; The world passes us by every day.

 

Communications Officer (28-38 hours)

 

Are you a fluent writer with an eye for detail, who likes to bring clarity to an organization?

You ensure that colleagues are well informed, structure how and what we communicate, and think along with us about how we can communicate changes in a clear way.

 

 

What will you do?

You work together with different departments, get a lot of freedom and the opportunity to really make a difference in how we communicate internally because this is a new role within our organization.

As an Internal Communications Officer, you are our internal news editor, creative content creator and idea accelerator all in one. You write messages, create newsletters and think about how we can tell things just that little bit more fun or clearly. You are the creative linchpin that brings our intranet to life, and the one who makes information understandable for everyone – whether it's about a new system, a staff party or a change in work processes.

 

This position requires you:  

  • You are curious, independent and have a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Experience in a role with a focus on internal communication is an advantage;
  • Creativity, an eye for detail and a proactive work attitude;
  • An excellent command of both the Dutch and English languages, both orally and in writing;
  • You work accurately and can convey complex information in an understandable way;
  • Affinity with internal communication, possibly with experience in a similar role;
  • You have strong persuasiveness and are goal-oriented, innovative, flexible and stress-resistant.
