Finance administration officer

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), part of the SATS Group, is a leading name in the international air cargo industry, employing more than 50,000 people worldwide. At Schiphol, Europe’s third-busiest airport, we play a key role in the logistics flow and international trade through one of Europe’s busiest hubs. Our services ensure that goods reach their destinations worldwide quickly, safely and efficiently.

We handle the reception, storage and preparation of both import and export cargo. This includes sorting goods, storing them safely and preparing them for further distribution. We unload trucks, build cargo on aircraft pallets or into containers, and ensure that every shipment arrives at the right place somewhere else in the world. Almost every type of cargo passes through our operation, which makes our work varied and dynamic; every day, the world moves past us.

Our organisation is growing rapidly. This growth requires a solid and well-structured financial administration. That is why we are looking for a Finance Administration Officer who enjoys thinking along in processes and supporting our financial operations.

What will you do?

In this role, you ensure that our financial administration is accurate and reliable. You are responsible for processing invoices, monitoring outstanding items and identifying discrepancies. When information is missing or figures do not add up, you take action and make sure issues are resolved.

You also support the monthly closing process. You understand how financial entries relate to each other, think along about corrections and provide input to keep processes clear and efficient. You work accurately, maintain overview and naturally prefer to investigate matters properly rather than leave them unresolved.

We are looking for someone with a solid accounting foundation who takes ownership of their work. You do not need to be a highly experienced accountant, but you do have sufficient insight to think along, ask critical questions and identify improvements.

In doing so, you ensure a correct administration and act as a reliable and consistent point of support for the finance team.

What do we ask of you?

  • MBO level of working and thinking, preferably in a financial or administrative field
  • Experience in a similar financial administrative role
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and an interest in monthly closings
  • Good command of both Dutch and English
  • You work accurately, independently and enjoy contributing ideas

What do we offer?

  • A gross monthly salary between €2,950 and €3,988 based on a 38 hour workweek
  • Travel allowance and parking facilities
  • An employment contract of 32 to 40 hours per week
  • Flexible start times
  • A pension scheme with the majority of contributions paid by WFS
  • A one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position
