To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Flight Operations Employee who will play an important role in coordinating and handling full freighter flights.
The role
In this role, you ensure that all parties involved in flight handling receive the right information at the right time. During the turnaround, you are an important point of contact for various internal departments and airlines, ensuring that the handling process is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with applicable procedures.
You manage flight schedules, provide operational information regarding freighter handling and coordinate the required transport movements. You also carry out preparatory activities for import and export handling and maintain an overview of the operational process.
In addition, you inspect built-up ULDs and ensure they comply with applicable regulations regarding cargo build-up, contours, securing and weight distribution. You are also involved in the administrative and physical management of ULDs belonging to various airlines.
Throughout your work, you continuously focus on quality and safety. You identify irregularities, communicate quickly with the parties involved and actively contribute to solutions to ensure that flight handling runs as smoothly as possible.
What do you bring?
• Minimum MBO working and thinking level or equivalent
• Knowledge of ULDs and related equipment
• Knowledge of cargo build-up guidelines, including contours, securing and weight distribution
• Knowledge of guidelines regarding special cargo, such as Dangerous Goods and Pharma
• Affinity with reading and understanding flight handling documentation
• Affinity with the physical handling of freighter flights
• You are solution-oriented, flexible and able to perform well under pressure
• Good command of both Dutch and English, verbally and in writing
• You are able to work independently and have a proactive attitude
• Applying for a VGB (Certificate of No Objection) is part of the recruitment process
