What will you be doing?
Do you enjoy working with large equipment, are you good at keeping an overview, and do you make sure everything is in the right place? Then this warehouse position at Schiphol could be the perfect fit for you.
In the warehouse, you will work with Unit Load Devices (ULDs), including aircraft pallets, containers and other air cargo equipment. You will ensure that these materials are properly received, inspected, stored and issued on time to airlines and transport companies. You will also keep track of inventory and make sure everything complies with applicable safety and quality requirements.
On a daily basis, you will collect empty ULDs using a forklift, inspect them for damage and check their registration numbers before storing them in the correct location. If you notice any irregularities or defects, you will report them immediately. You will also load and unload trucks, prepare ULDs for transport, and ensure they are safely stacked and secured.
In addition, you will scan ULDs into the system, carry out inventory checks, monitor stock levels and ensure that all administrative records are accurate and up to date.
You will work according to established instructions and procedures while knowing when extra attention or action is required. If you have more experience, you will also support colleagues by providing guidance and sharing suggestions for improvement. Working safely and keeping the workplace organised are always top priorities.
What do we ask of you?
- MBO-level working and thinking ability (intermediate vocational education level)
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment in a similar position
- Experience with air cargo and/or ULDs
- A valid forklift certificate, or willingness to obtain one
- You work accurately and safely
- You are physically fit and comfortable working on your feet in an active role
- You are able to work well in a busy environment and adapt to changing tasks
- You speak Dutch and/or English
