ULD operator

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), part of the SATS Group, is a prominent name in the international air cargo industry with more than 50,000 employees worldwide. Our operations at Schiphol, Europe’s third busiest airport, are fundamental to the logistics flow and trade through one of Europe’s busiest airports. Our services ensure that goods reach their destinations worldwide quickly, safely and efficiently. We handle the receipt, storage and preparation of both import and export cargo. This includes sorting goods, storing them safely and preparing them for further distribution. We unload trucks, build cargo on aircraft pallets or in containers, and make sure every shipment arrives at the right place somewhere else in the world. Virtually every type of cargo passes through our operation, which makes our work varied and interesting; every day, the world moves past us.

Become part of a growing organisation and start working as a ULD Operator at WFS.

What will you do?

Do you enjoy working with large equipment, do you like keeping an overview and making sure everything is in the right place? Then this warehouse position at Schiphol is something for you.

Within the warehouse, you work with Unit Load Devices (ULDs): aircraft pallets, containers and other air cargo equipment. You ensure that these materials are correctly received, checked, stored and issued on time to airlines and transport companies. You keep an overview of the inventory and make sure everything complies with applicable safety and quality regulations.

On a daily basis, you collect empty ULDs using a forklift, check them for damage and registration numbers, and store them in the designated locations. If you notice any irregularities or defects, you report them immediately. You also load and unload trucks, prepare ULDs for transport and make sure they are stacked and secured safely. In addition, you scan ULDs in the system, perform inventory checks, monitor stock levels and ensure that the administration is always accurate and up to date.

You work according to fixed instructions and procedures, but you also know when to stay alert and take action. If you have more experience, you support colleagues by giving instructions and sharing improvements. Safe and tidy working practices are always a priority.
