ULD Supervisor

Our services ensure that goods reach their destinations worldwide safely, quickly and efficiently. We handle the receipt, storage and preparation of both import and export cargo. This includes sorting and safely storing goods and preparing them for further distribution. We unload trucks, build cargo onto aircraft pallets or into containers, and make sure every shipment reaches the right destination. Virtually every type of cargo imaginable passes through our facilities, making every day different.

Within our air cargo operation, Unit Load Devices (ULDs) play an essential role. Aircraft pallets, containers and other air cargo equipment must be available at the right time, correctly registered and handled safely. As a ULD Supervisor, you and your team ensure that this process runs smoothly every day.

What will you do?

As a ULD Supervisor, you are responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the ULD process. You oversee the receipt, inspection, storage and release of ULDs and ensure that physical stock and administrative records are accurate and aligned.

You lead the ULD team, allocate tasks and monitor progress throughout the shift. You are visibly present on the work floor and make sure your team works safely, accurately and in accordance with applicable procedures.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading, supporting and motivating ULD employees on a daily basis;
  • Coordinating the receipt, inspection, storage and release of ULDs;
  • Monitoring the availability and stock levels of aircraft pallets, containers and other ULD equipment;
  • Investigating and following up on stock discrepancies and other irregularities;
  • Ensuring ULDs are inspected for damage, identification numbers and overall condition;
  • Ensuring damaged or non-compliant ULDs are correctly reported and followed up;
  • Coordinating the loading and unloading of ULDs and ensuring safe storage and securing of equipment;
  • Setting priorities and adjusting activities when operational circumstances require it;
  • Acting as the point of contact for operational matters related to ULDs;
  • Coordinating with internal departments, airlines and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Reporting operational issues, irregularities and performance;
  • Coaching and supporting employees and contributing to their development.

What do you bring?

For this position, we are looking for someone who combines operational knowledge with leadership skills. You understand what happens on the work floor, maintain an overview during busy periods and are confident in making decisions when necessary.

In addition, you bring:

  • MBO+/HBO level of working and thinking;
  • Experience within air cargo, warehouse operations or a similar logistics environment;
  • Good administrative and digital skills;
  • An accurate way of working with a strong focus on safety and quality;
  • The ability to set priorities and manage multiple activities at the same time;
  • A proactive, stress-resistant and solution-oriented attitude;
  • Good command of Dutch and/or English;
  • Flexibility to work within our operational environment.
