Workforce optimization manager

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), part of the SATS Group, employs more than 50,000 people worldwide. We also play a key role at Schiphol, ensuring goods reach their destination quickly, safely, and efficiently. Every day, the entire world passes through our doors.

Our company is growing rapidly, which demonstrates that we are healthy and future-oriented. Do you want to be part of this success, and are you someone who gets excited about data, planning, and smart optimizations? Then this is your opportunity!

What will you do?
In this role, you will combine analytical insights with an understanding of people and processes. As a Workforce Optimization Manager, you ensure that our operations remain balanced, with the right people, with the right skills, in the right place at the right time.

You will work closely with the EMEAA Operational Excellence team and act as the local point of contact. Practically, this means monitoring the workforce strategy and translating it into concrete actions. You will analyze data, create forecasts, and develop plans that guide the deployment of people and resources, taking into account not only short-term needs but also future requirements.

A key part of your role is advising management. You will translate numbers and analyses into practical and strategic recommendations. Together, you will determine which roles are critical, when additional capacity is needed, and how schedules can be designed as efficiently and fairly as possible. You will also look ahead to identify which skills will be needed in the future, which roles are changing, and where opportunities exist to optimize processes.

In addition to daily planning and coordination, you will lead projects that increase productivity and reduce costs. You will identify areas for improvement and have the freedom to implement them. At the same time, you ensure that quality and safety remain top priorities and that commitments to customers are always met.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on combining data analysis, strategic thinking, and operational optimization. You will have the opportunity to work in an international environment where your decisions directly contribute to both the efficiency of the organization and the job satisfaction of employees.

What do you bring?

  • Knowledge of collective labor agreements, labor laws, and relevant regulations
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with data analysis
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal
  • Professional and customer-focused attitude, with the ability to work independently and in teams
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage a high workload

What do we offer?

  • Travel allowance and parking facilities
  • Flexible start times
  • A 32 to 40-hour workweek
  • Pension scheme, with the majority of contributions paid by the company
  • Opportunities for growth and training in our own training center
